Mrs Zoi Argyri

Project Duration: 6 months; Project Start Date: 15th September

Masters Research Study with Aristotle University, Greece

Summary of the Project

The purpose of this research is to better understand how children with Epidermolytic Ichthyosis experience school life, both academically and socially, from the perspectives of parents and their educators.

Any parent of a school-age child and any teacher responsible for educating and caring for a child with Epidermolytic Ichthyosis is invited to take part in this completely anonymous survey.

Completing the QUESTIONNAIRE should take approximately 10 minutes. If you choose to take part, please encourage your child’s teacher/s to complete the questionnaire as well.

The findings of Zoi’s research will be published here, and will also be presented at the EI Global Symposium, March 2026.

More about the Researcher…

Zoi Argyri first learned about Epidermolytic Ichthyosis when she met Arienne, the daughter of our Founder, Helen Lill during Arienne’s very first year of school. As Zoi learned more about the additional needs that a child with EI has, she became very passionate about finding ways to help other children like Arienne in an educational setting. In order to help, she decided it was important to learn as much as possible about more children and their teachers in different school environments around the world.

If you would like to take part, please follow the link to her Questionnaire, and please note that all responses are anonymous.

Zoi Argyri is a multilingual Early Childhood and Primary Educator based in Switzerland, with interdisciplinary expertise in child education, child psychopathology, and environmental health and science. She is a member of the Histologistas research team at the Department of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which advances research and education in environmental health through histological, molecular, and digital studies.

Her master’s thesis examines the educational and social experiences of children with Epidermolytic Ichthyosis.

She has completed specialized training in children’s literature and English language teaching, is an article writer, and the author of Balance (Top 10 nominee, Greek Public Book Awards, 2018).

Guided by the philosophy of Paideia and a reflective, student-centred pedagogy, she designs learning experiences that cultivate the intellect, character, and creativity of each child, fostering holistic development and a lifelong love of learning.

Thank you so much for considering this great research study!
