Dr Joanna Jacków-Malinowska

Joanna Jacków-Malinowska is a Lecturer in Molecular Dermatology and Therapeutics based at King's College London in the UK. Originally from Poland, she has doctoral and post-doctoral experience in Germany, France and the USA. Since July 2020, she has run her own research group in London in which there is a focus on gene editing with the development and testing of new efficient and safe gene editing tools. Ultimately, the work is expected to lead to clinical trials for patients with inherited skin diseases, including epidermolytic ichthyosis, with a vision of formulating gene creams that edit genes directly in the skin.
